The Client Issue

How do we make our stores easier to shop and purchase in?


The Situation

A department store chain was changing their layout and wanted to test whether store design initiatives were actually improving shopability.


The Approach

We conducted focus groups with participants who had shopped the store before the changeover as well as competitor stores. Then we set tasks for them to complete in store to discuss.


The Outcome

The client was able to use our research findings to identify the most advantageous format and has continued to roll out the new and improved store design to 20 more of its stores.
